Migrating Triumph-LS to Linux OS

Will be out of office a few hours. Try to migrate again?
Duane, I looked at the receiver... There are 224 projects. All passed integrity check and should be arhived one by one. I did started arhiving of these 224 projects separetely to be confident it can arhive them. If arhives successfully then we can delete all projects and do migration without project. So we can imprt all arhived projects on Linux later when we recover them.
I can't see what is going on via RAMS while LS performs CPU consuming tasks like arhiving. Please tell me how archiving goes now. Is it frozen or still archiving. maybe take a picture of the screen and send it to me.

ARCHIVE-PROJECT_20180803-02.59.00.png

This is what I have on projects archiving. This is a reason of Migration problems as a result.
But! Now I see disconnected USB stick. Is it still inserted? if so, you have either connector issue or USB stick has filesystem issues... If it disconnected while archiving then these 216 failed project could not be improted via USB issues. I will try to arhive them all to Internal eMMC card now.

USB stick has not been removed, It is archiving at 0:56:13 but appears stuck at 0.13%.

0988 was last night after 2 hours and it looked like this in the morning 7 hours later no change.
0989 was a few minutes ago when I checked in.

I migrated over a few days ago without any issues. Today was my first day in the field and everything went well. But, when I went to stop and download the base file I got a message saying the firmware on the T 1M (IIRC) was out of date. I've searched the forum but I'm not sure what to do. The base downloaded anyway and I just processed it on DPOS without any problem.

I'd like to report a successful migration. The process took about 30 minutes. No issues during or after the migration.
I have tried collecting data with an RTN and my own base so far.
I am anxious to try stakeout in beast mode, if that is still availble, which was the death knell for my unit in the past.
I really appreciate the boot time improvement.
It is inconceivable to me that Javad is able to install a new operating system on a 5 year old system while keeping all of the original settings, preferences, profiles, internet, wifi and bluetooth settings and project data intact. I cannot add a new printer to my computer system without there being some conflict with another peripheral or piece of software.

Awesome job to Eugene and whomever made this happen!

Mr. Ashjaee, I am not forgetting your contribution. Thank you, so much.

Ralph,
I have a customer in L.A. that has bumped to Linux and is no longer experiencing the HTDP issue so far as I can tell even running at 5hz with HTDP coordinate systems.. I think you'll be very pleased.

Shawn,
Thanks for the heads-up. I will set up a system that includes HTDP and give it a whirl.
I will take the opportunity to test more of the capabilities in the next few days.

wondering if a clarification can be given (List) on what duplicate data can be deleted after the migration. I am seeing duplicate coordinate systems (new one with an extention showing the date of the migration) etc.

The files on the USB drive and VS Data and VS Backup folders on the SD card can be deleted if they still exist after restoring data successfully.

Did you create new projects and coordinate systems before restoring data? Otherwise I don't think you should be seeing duplicate coordinate systems.

Happy to read this report, Ralph! There is a team work behind this release. Everyone of J-Field developers should read feedback on their contributions.

It reports this message because yout T1 firmware doesn't support new features used by Triumph-LS. I think "Moving Base" is the one. You better upgrade T1M with the latest firmware. The Message doesn't disturb normal activity, but just alert the user about potential issues. Tell me firmware version at T1M, please.

I was trying to archive all your projects, then remove them from WinCE, migrate without projects to Linux and then import archived projects back. But I can't see you unit on RAMS since my last message. Any news?
