Triumph-2 big errors in Correct For Tilts

Good day! I have long noticed that I do not work correct for tilts in my Triumph-2/1M, I tried to work both in J-Field (Victor-LS) and in JMT errors reached 15-20cm (0.49-0.66 ft). Could you tell me anyone with so met? Triumph-LS in this respect is good, the precision is 2-3cm, even with 35 degrees inclination.
P.S. translate with google.

The compass probably needs calibrated if there is a lot of error. Did you check the compass calibration?

With 35 degrees of tilt there will be more than 3cm of error.

Hello Matt! Yes i calibrated compass of Triumph-2 and Triumph-1M in JMT and J-Field. I tried to calibrate it in field without magnet and iron objects.
In my opinion problem in firmware of Triumph-2 and Triumph-1M. Triumph-LS have different firmware and has no problems with correct for tilts.

Tilt corrections are not even computed by the GNSS firmware but rather the field software (J-Field or JMT). The GNSS board sends the position of the GNSS antenna to the the field software along with the measured tilt and compass values. With these value and the antenna height, the position of the point on the ground is computed. When I check tilt corrections with a T-2 and Victor-LS it works correctly. The receiver should be held reasonably still while collecting a point even with tilt corrections. Fast movement while collecting a point will introduce a lot of error. Are you sure the compass calibration is good? You should check it by aligning the receiver to north making sure the action screen in J-Field shows an azimuth reading close to 0. Then slowly rotate it 360 degrees and make compass readings look good while doing this.

This was with GNSS 3_6_13b0_rtk4 firmware on the Triumph-2 and the J-Field 2.1.0.58 on the Victor-LS. For the Triumph-2 there are 2 builds of this firmware depending upon the board version installed in the unit.

If you board version is 3 or less then you need triumph2_old_3_6_13b0_rtk4.zip. If it is greater than 3 then use triumph2_3_6_13b0_rtk4.zip.

Board version is determined by the last number listed for the board:

This unit is board version 6.

I check this with iOS JMT. I collected a point plumb vs tilted 30 degrees there was only 0.2 ft of difference between the two points which is fairly good for that much tilt.

Matt you tilt Triumph-2 due North or random? What is the height of the pole you had? I want to repeat your experiment on my Triumph-2. But i dont have iOS JMT, only Android.

I just tried tilting it various directions and had good results in each direction. The antenna height in my tests was 5.69 ft.

Hello! Can anyone test correct for tilts on new verison board triumph-2? I think it must be 11 version, we have same error on triumph2_7 as i say highter and developers say that 11 version can be better with correct for tilts from older versions.
