Un-Pair Triumph 2 from HPT435BT

First off, thanks to Shawn for helping me with this over the phone. However, I don't have the cable to go from the radio (15-pin) to the LS via USB.

The way he explained it, I need to un-pair my T2 from the radio before I can use my new T1-M with it. Is there any way to accomplish this without that cable? I guess I lost it but I honestly don't remember ever having one.

Depending upon when you bought the HPT435BT it may have only came with the serial port cable. If this is the case you would need to use Netview and Modem to unpair the radio.

I'm going through the manual now trying to figure out how to access the modem (radio) via the bluetooth on the T2. Does the modem need to connect to my PC via bluetooth? It's not showing up on the devices menu.

Also, the screen I have on my Netview and Modem program is different from the manual. It looks like this:

9192

I can't get it to see the modem through the T2, even though it shows the settings for it there, it's not listed in the dropdowns at the top.

I guess I'll have to order the cable then. It seems kind of silly that I can pair the radio via Bluetooth, but not un-pair it, or that the radio has to be tied to one base receiver only.

The serial cable came with the radio so you should not need to order it. The USB cable may or may not came with it depending upon when you purchased it.

I didn't think my PC had a serial port, but it does. I was able to unpair the radio using that cable and the Netview and Modem program.

Then, I could successfully pair the T1-M to the radio via the Triumph LS J-Field.

But now, when I start the base, it insists on broadcasting using the internal radio. Where do you tell it to always use the Bluetooth external radio connection?

I guess I'm not seeing the option to select which radio to use. When I click on UHF configuration, I get this screen:

9193

When I click on Pair, it shows this:

9194

Try turning the T1-M off and back on again if you did not do so after pairing it.

Tried that - same results.

I clicked on Pair again, it was paired but not connected. I clicked the Connect button and it gave me a variety of errors: "Connection failed, host is down", "Product ID retrieving failed. Unable to identify the radio", and "Unable to read the bluetooth address of the external radio". Then, it eventually said it was successfully paired. Every time I hit Pair, it gives a different result every time. Ultimately it says it's paired and connected, but never gives the option to select which radio I want to use.

Thinking back to the Netview program, there is an A, B, C, D modem tabs, but I only remember the internal one being listed for my T1-M. Should it show the external on one of those lettered tabs? If there is only one modem listed (on the C tab or whatever) then it doesn't know there is another option?

Pairing through J-Field is only working in the Testing brach right now I believe. You can pair through Netview and Modem to port B.

I was able to successfully pair it using Netview and Modem. It went to Modem D for some reason, but it doesn't seem to matter. The internal radio doesn't show up anywhere (still no option to select a radio in J-Field), but I don't anticipate using it anyway.

Thanks Matt!
