The T-2 has always had the ability to track Galileo E1 and BeiDou B1. No upgrades or new options should be needed. You will need to enable these constellations in Netview if you want to use them. Also for BeiDou you need to change the center frequency to 1571 with this command:

%set,/par/l1center/frq,1571%

Rebooting is needed after doing this.

Ok, so Matt, can we upgrade our existing units, and obtain some of the benefits of these new signals?
1.) Faster fix acquisition.
2.) More accuracy.
Or both?
Thanks!

Matt, I connected to netview but not seeing where to enable them or to enter that command. Could you post screen shots or step by step?
Thanks,
Duane

No upgrade needed ('upgrade' implies additional cost.) There is no additional cost to use the Triumph 2 as described.

Duane,
I believe you enable Galileo & Beidou by selecting Parameters tab from the main screen (image1). Then click Positioning (image 2). Then set GAL & COMP (Compass = Beidou) to
Yes.
The command Matt gave looks like a GREIS input. I'm not exactly sure how that works in Netview but I assume it's sent from the Greis Commands tab.

For those who are using a Triumph-1M, the cost to upgrade (from stock configuration) is currently $3000 to enable both Galileo and Beidou. For those with a Triumph-2, the cost will be a new base with the Galileo and Beidou options enabled. I would definitely recommend acquiring both Galileo and Beidou. I think only adding one would provide marginal benefits.

Shawn B said this in another post?? I'm confused.

Shawn you said in that post those with a T2 would need a new base with Galileo and BeiDou enabled and Matt says the T2 has always had the ability to track Galileo and BeiDou. No upgrades or new options should be needed.

If the T2 just needs software update at no charge to track and utilize Galileo and BeiDou with the 4 constellation firmware on LS then where might I find the information to do so?
