Although, I'm not sure if the new automated maps will work without cellular service
To minimize cellular traffic and for convenience it is better to create and download background map in the office:
- be sure you have inserted SD card to the Triumph-LS.
- go to background maps list (Projects screen -> Edit current project -> Background Map).
- add a new map using "+" button.
- edit the map using edit button.
- on the edit screen select Mapbox Style.
- push "Download offline map".
- using zoom buttons select required area (the entire scene shown on the map screen).
- press "Download" button and wait while downloading will finished.

It will download all required tiles for the area.

Thank you for the instructions to download the tiles. I narrowed the map in as much as possible, but it looks like it is going to take about an hour to download. I have satellite internet, so downloading is always slow. I'll share my data usage numbers for those that are interested. On a normal day using a hotspot with a static IP at my base and a second hotspot with my rover, the rover hotspot uses about 151 MB of data. I left the satellite background maps turned on all day yesterday and my rover hotspot used 285 MB of data.

Michael,
My background maps are not functioning since updating to J-Field Prerelease 3.0.8.416. I sent project DD&L to support and uploaded the background map to storage.javad.com.
name: Wray.sqlitedb
link: http://storage.javad.com/uploads/o_1efklvsoe1bsv9k2l0t1gfpmt2b.sqlitedb

I also sometimes get this error after Setting Up Map.

I created my background map with Moblie Atlas Creator 2.0.1 (2371) as described here.

Michael, re: post from a few days ago. I found a setting had changed which grabbed an old State RTN mount point. On pre-release .416 I am now getting all 4 constellations from the RTN in pre-release 0.416. 4 const V6 works as expected. The 2 engine now includes all 4 constellations but engine 1 appears to duplicate engine 2 in the signals picked. Could that be a setting issue? I am still getting the no vector message with no RTPK point. Should I reinstall prerelease 0.416 ?

I just had a chance to test this weekend. I'm wondering if there's a way to see the difference in the current group location and the RTPK position calculated before storing the point. I see the visual "red star" location, but it would be nice to know the difference before storing so I know if I should continue the observation.

Also, on my test project, I had performed an "Auto" reading for the base, so I wanted to DPOS the position after completing the project.
While running the RTPK processing, I had two positions saved within 0.1' of each other on a difficult location. (both RTPK)
After running this through DPOS, the two positions are 1.8' apart. I've checked the RTK vs PPK positions and none match the 0.1' difference I had in the field.

RTPK is a great addition. I'm just trying to get a handle on what happens with all the processing.
Thanks,
Brian

Matt, I was doing some layout with the T2 base and LS rover yesterday. When I came back into base rover setup to stop and download the button on the right said "start" versus the typical "stop". I had connected as usual and was using my T2 network setup. Could there be any relation to the pre-release software with RTPK or some related setting. I will try it again when I get a chance, but that was odd.

In dpos settings uncheck process all raw gnss.

Updated all available software today in hopes of getting better performance with RTN.
Installed J-Field 3.0.8.428
Tried to set option for postprocessing as per Shawn's writeup from a few weeks ago, but there is not a check box for that on my options screen.
This is a standard LS. Am a I missing something (other than the required checkbox) ?
Want to try and use the RTPK before the trial runs out.
Thanks

I'm running Pre-Release 3.0.8.429 and my background maps are working again, too, except for the one I sent to support in post #85 above. Is the file size too large? It used to work well. It's 153 MB. I have another one that is 129.9 MB and it works.

Got the Pre-release installed and RTPK functioning. We are using an RTN over mifi.
On this observation the RTK would have looked great, but now with the RTPK there is a difference of 2.5' in the vertical and 0.8'in the horizontal. That really opens this up to question, which is right or neither? This was a relatively open area, ran for about 20 minutes and got full verification on the RTK.
