TCP PORT

Setting up a cell profile. Why is 8002 even allowed to be a TCP Port? Why when in the profile it is set to 8010 it displays 8002 when trying to set base the next day? Multiple people have this problem. Why is this even an issue? The profile knows this is an out port. Why even allow an 8002?

When I check it and try it the default value is 8010 for the output port. There may be an old command in your jfield_system.ini file if it is changing itself to 8002. We would need the unit on RAMS or a project archive to check.

When you make a profile and set it to 8010. The next time you set up (next day) it gets set to 8002 which was never even set at to begin with. This has been an issue for years yet only happens on certain units. I would like to know why 8002 is even allowed in an out port.

Like I just said, I suspect it is an old command left in your jfield_system.ini file before some refactoring was done. You can try resetting all the settings to the default values and I suspect it might resolve the issue. This will set all setting and default profiles to their default state.

The LS has to use port 8002 when being used as a base broadcasting TCP corrections.

Yes, it has to be set to port 8002 on the rover TCP setup and on the base TCP setup

Well, this is for a T3, T2, T1M, T1. In the RTN TCP Client screen right after you create an RTN APN. I insert a host name then a TCP Port. Would you set that to 8002?

Okay. Using 8002 as an inbound and outbound port on the LS doesn't make any sense to me. I guess that may be the problem. For the small chance that you use an LS as a base. The majority, in my opinion, of the Javad world that does use everything else except an LS as a base. 8010-8014 is going to be an issue having 8002 populate when not wanted. I will try the default option that Matt suggested but I don't have much faith in that because that was the first profile ever created since being shipped from the factory. And it is happening on different units.

I want to note that as of recently the port for the LS as a base will now work with 8010-8014, not just 8002.
