Screen freeze with Linux

I was clearing my pdelta box and it wouldn't leave the screen. I hit the collect button and that went into the collect screen, but all other screens looked like this (please see image).

I was able to collect a couple points then I rebooted. I am so glad Linux boots up so fast. I wish I xould change the LS radio settings after I reboot. My base was set to dqpsk and it said the rover was d8psk. I had radio somehow. Is there a way to do this?

You change the LS settings under setup and edit the general group profile at the top left. Enter through the screens until you come to modulation and make it match your base.

If “Javad” UHF protocol is being used, the rover will still work and receive corrections even if the modulation setting does not match what the base radio is transmitting.

Does this mean that Javad protocol should always be selected, or is something potentially lost by not entering a specific match?

It is best to use Javad protocol unless you are using the radio with some other brand of equipment. With Javad protocol the rover can automatically determine the modulation of the signal it is receiving.

Ok so you have answered the radio question and the file import may not be right, but what about the image on the screen that won't go away?

The problem with the dwg file appears to be format version of it. What version of AutoCAD was this? Try saving in AutoCAD 2010 and see if you can import it then.

@Mikhail Drakin can probably comment on what versions of AutoCAD are currently supported.

Its auto cad version 2013 never had this issue before. I use carlson survey 2015 with embeded 2013 auto cad. I have been importing dwg files for 1 year now and have not had any problems until now.

This file for some reason hangs the library we use for DWG import. Probably this will be fixed when we upgrade it, though it will not happen any time soon. You can try resaving the file in another (older) DWG or DXF format version (Autodesk products allow choosing format version when saving).
