And, when you store it, it should make a different sound.
It got bumped on going through the woods. I shot some fence corners. Way leaned over with compensator on. So my coord is bad by 2 to 3 feet.
i shot some rebar. They are off by a tenth.
because it’s not calibrated.
So this is serious and bad. Sometimes we swap users. So we both learn and get a break. One may have it on and the other not know.
this is potentially quite serious.

I’d completely and totally agree with this! Have always thought there should be something on the screen to indicate this. It “seems” easy to think “just check it”, but as Nate says, we switch users sometimes and also, especially when it’s 100 degrees, forget to change things back.

And/Or a red "C" between the tilt values at the top of the screen, or something similar.
Perhaps also something prominent in the points screen, like in the solution segment of the details for a point: "Processing Type - RTK+Tilt", instead of having to hop into the RTK Statistics>General Point Statistics screen...

I agree, that's the key. A one-time splash screen would be handy, but I also would like to see at a glance that it's still on - something unintrusive, but informative. Just like being able to glance at the tilt values, azimuth, DTL, etc. - "it's simply there".

consider putting the indicator on the bottom line of the screen where the coordinate is shown (to the left or to the right of it)?
Ok, how about "Tilt" in lower left, in red letters. "On/Off" in in lower right. Long press of On/Off turns it on and off.with a popup "Confirm Tilt Compensator On/Off"
With last date/time it was calibrated, with the warning if it has been too long since calibration. Also, the warning "do not operate compensator around metal or strong magnetism".
This would allow the user to remain fully in charge of the mechanism in use to collect data. This is the goal.

Is there a way to fix my shots, that are bad, from yesterday? It's only about 10 shots. But they are important ones. That is, they are tilt compensated, and I want to remove the "compensation" from the shots.

Shawn is right. Only post-processing can fix the issue with the tilt compensation.

I did apply RTPK. Isn't there a place where the Tilt amount, Tilt Direction, and Height of Rod are recorded? Or is it "Interactive", which means you could place the rod tip on a point, and wobble all over the place, slowly, and deliberately, and the coord value would not shift, except the little wobble in the RTK solution? Am I getting this right?

The orientation matrix and position of the phase center are recorded in the raw GNSS file but J-Field doesn't record the amount of compensation in the project database.

Yes, compensation should eliminate the position shift in this case.

In the points screen, there SHOULD be a place to place the word "Tilt" with the RTK shot. This would effectively let the user know that "Random Tilt compensations were applied, depending on the amount, and direction of tilt" (quantifying this value is impossible, as it changes throughout the shot) And, the RTPK, could be good, if the LS was NOT wandering around, (like me yesterday, with plumbed pole, and sitting still) Thanks!

Please make it red. And, at the point where you press START, that SOMETHING different occurs, like the word "Tilt On" flashes on the screen, for a moment. We work in all kinds of environments, with traffic, and distracting things. It needs a little more DRAMA to get your attention. I've been out there, with the dozer, marking lines, sweating, and such a thing might go un noticed, until it has hurt you. Part of my problem a few days ago with REVERSE SHIFT was that tilt was on, and I kept getting these differences of 0.11' between shots, (turned a different direction, changed the shot). I FINALLY wound up using RTPK to back in the coord. Which, was (incidentally) the right thing to do, but I did not know why at the time. It would not offend me, if a woman's voice (Judge Judy!) said "Tilt", (If it's on) when I press START!! Something to really let me know!!!!
