I wanted to put this out there to see if i am the only surveyor who thinks this would be beneficial…
I think it would be beneficial to Have a white box option for stake to Line while in the GNSS collect screen.
When you select this whitebox, it would navigate to the stake out boxes that allow to pick line between two points, poly line on map, etc. (same as what is shown currently in stakeout). Pick your option and move on.
Once back in the collect screen, the white box would show direction (left or right) and distance.
There are multiple occasions to where i am collecting data and my threshold is dependent on a particular line segment. I know this is feasible in the stakeout routine, however a white box in the collect screen would save the time to move out of “collect” over to “stake” for this option.
I could go into details as to where this would benefit in many areas, staking line at intervals while using PDelta whitebox is one in particular.
Thoughts and opinions are welcome.
