    Laser distance measurer

Aaron, I always static the Gov't corners after set to double check the location later. While the GPS is sitting on the point I blaze, paint and nail the trees. I then pull a tape from the (I like double-headed nails) over to the GPS pole while staticing. I find it much easier to grab a...

    Static/PPK in the woods

Aaron, I always have the UHF antenna under the T1Ms - and I always use 2m poles for static work. I have a few different receivers, and the reason I always use the UHF is that that extra height always get added to a Javad observation - the others are 2m. That way I don't have to look for height...

    Triumph-Family

I am aware of the T2. I do large static campaigns 2 or 3 times a year with 5-11 receivers in mostly nasty nasty areas. If I am going to buy new I am thinking about GPS/GLONASS/Galileo and setup for static only, no need to pay for options I won't use. I was only referencing the IGage / OPUS...

    Triumph-Family

Since we don't know T3 pricing yet... Is there any talk of an inexpensive multi-constellation receiver geared towards static / OPUS like the igage stuff?

Old Javad Odyssey User Manual or Spec Sheet

I performed my big rollover test. Sent all the files into OPUS, and everything processed OK. I compared nail positions before and after rollover, and using default OPUS options, all of the positions agree within a couple of .01s of each other. I will say that even with the old firmware the...

    Post pics of difficult shots

Thanks. I used to use my robot, but use my T1M on VRS now. It is the second biggest pond hockey tournament in the US behind Eagle River. That pic was a couple of years ago, but I had to pull up the pic for the visitors bureau this morning and thought I would toss it up here. I will try to get...

Marking out ice rinks for a local outdoor tournament. Not difficult, just scenic. And the end result that year

    Concerns about Galileo and Beidou

Bring back Cinderella Tuesdays for a year!! Although I admit, way way back in the day I only had one opportunity to use GLONASS.

    ESRI Collector App

It isn't designed as just a base Nate. I was hoping to replace one of my T1Ms with a T3 for a rover in a lighter and smaller form factor. The T1M gets a bit heavy on top of the pole after a long day. Not everyone wants to run an LS, I need a Carlson DC for my workflow.

    ESRI Collector App

Decisions like that perplex me. It is not like the 5/8 thread is something that is new to the surveying profession. I has pretty much been the standard forever.

    ESRI Collector App

Please tell us there is a 5/8 thread under that thing. And I am going to guess to use it as a UHF Rover, you have to attach an external UHF antenna to the side? Any idea on the weight?

    Hixon Prism Poles

I have both bipods. Now you have me curious, as the weight difference seems much more than that. I don't think I have a scale that will do that though, the postal scale only goes to 1lb, and the fat-person scale isn't that accurate. Investigation is needed. I will say the durability of the...

GPS III Satelite Launch coming up...

GPS III Satelite Launch coming up...

I has been pushed, then weather delayed. It should be going up tomorrow morning, Dec 22, at like 8:55am.

GPS III Satelite Launch coming up...

Yep. First to launch on a SpaceX Rocket, with a much higher payload capacity then required, so I believe they are launching it into a more final orbit then they normally do. Lots of precautions as it is the first GPS3, they want it up there for testing so the schedule of launching the second...

Old Javad Odyssey User Manual or Spec Sheet

So after some creative digging, I found the attached spec sheet. I can't find anything official, this came from the appendix of: a March 2005 working report for Refraction Seismic Surveys in the Investigation of Trench TK2 Area, Olkiluoto, Eurajoki 2004, in Finland. This sheet seems to have...

    T1M Radio config problems

FYI since I had the files on my desktop... This is the command that I have to bind the base to the 35w %Bluetooth Radio%em,/dev/blt/b,/msg/rtcm3/{1004,1012,1006:10,1008:10}:1

    T1M Radio config problems

I downloaded the JSupport, and I understand how it works. Where/who do I send the access codes to? I don't want to post the code to my computer up on an open forum. "GREIS commands can also be used to set the radio output power" I will read the manual on this. Thank you.

    T1M Radio config problems

Looks like I will probably need the 35w radio later in the week. How do I go about arranging for an overnight JSupport connection to get that all setup? It has been a VERY long time since I have used the 35w radio. Utilizing Carlson, I send a command that will like the radio to the base...
