1M base battery

Hello All, been awhile. Is there an external means for an external battery for a 1M? Ours is not getting but about 5 hours on a charge now. Thanks

How do you charge that thing? I'm guessing that it has a little pigtail, that goes to a basic 2 way connector.

If this is your rover, there is a little battery that can supply supplemental power. I used these on my Topcon Legacy E units.
If this is your base, it's the same pigtail, (I'm pretty sure) and it can be hooked to a Bigger battery. Make SURE of your polarity.
I'm guessing some here, but if a detail is wrong, I think the basic principal is right.

Thanks Matt, I’ll look into that, but if you got a cheat sheet I’ll take it. Sounds scary coming from a guy that’s fried a more than a few electronics lol
It is very simple:
  1. Install the 10A fuse in the SAE battery connector
  2. Connect the SAE battery connector to a 12 volt deep cycle battery with the red wire connecting to the positive terminal
  3. Plug the SAE battery connector into the Javad ODU-5/SAE power cable.
  4. Plug the power cable into the receiver

So, that's SUPPOSED to be a 10A fuse?
I reversed the polarity on my 35 watt, (While hooking it to the truck battery) It fried the diode in the 35 watt. (Instead of blowing the fuse) It had a 15A Fuse.
Matt, could this be the reason?
Thanks

I suggested the 10A fuse because it is the lowest amperage fuse that comes with the battery connector and 10A should be plenty of power. The chargers that come with the units are rated at 5A max. I don't know if a lower rated fuse would have protected the diode on the radio when hooked up in a reserve polarity state.
