1M sticky top

My T-2 is getting very sticky. I have cleaned it a number of times... Has this been fixed? It seems like a bad batch of plastics. Also, my battery light is supposed to allow several colors... well red does not work there any more. Probably needs a new LED.
My 2 yr warranty will be coming to an end soon. So, I'd like to get this addressed before it runs out.
Thank you,

Nate

I have noticed the same thing with our Triumph 1's. They look similar to Clifton's. I have not noticed anything similar with our Triumph 1 yet. I was just thinking this morning about getting in touch with Michael to see what our options are. I would hate to do without them for more than a day or two.

I hope so too. It looks like a bad mix of ingredients to me.

I wonder if the sun is breaking down the plastic?
My T2 #00087 gets sticky when I clean it with rubbing alcohol so I stopped doing that.
It seems to have hardened up.
I will try some Simple Green mild solution on a part of it and see if that works better to clean it.
Also there were small stress cracks forming on the corners but they stopped after i backed off the screws a little.

I think it's starting to degrade again. We will keep watching.

I have never cleaned my T2 or LS for that matter with anything more than a towel or old shirt and I haven't had any problems going on three years.

@Clifton Keith do you clean yours with something other than a rag and water?.

What's the idea behind cleaning them? Sure if it's got some bird poop on there I knock it off but I have never been a fan of using any cleaning agent on anything really. I rarely wash my truck and it keeps on rolling.

Oil and dirt from my hands builds up on it.
I guess keeping it clean has something to do with having a WW2 vet for a father and having served in the military.
Actually my T-2 is fine so far and not acting like Clifton's.:)
