2 engine or 6 engine

Now that we have updated to the new firmware it seems to me it is a lot harder to get shots in canopy.
We read that the 2 engine setup would work better than the 6.
What is the proper procedure and settings you need to have for the 2 engines configuration?
I tried to switch while in the field, but I assume you have to disconnect from the base before resetting it and then reconnect? It did not seem to make a difference.

We are using the Triumph-LS and the Triumph-1M.

Did you look over this thread https://support.javad.com/index.php?threads/2-engines-versus-6-engines.4139/#post-38381

I have been using my normal boundary profile with a min of 1 rtk engine and a duration of 240. For UHF use D8PSK, RTCM 3 MSM3 SHORT. For TCP use RTCM 3 MSM 4 short if you have great cell coverage, if coverage is moderate to poor use MSM 3 Short. I have just been using MSM 3 short all the time because the cell coverage is usually great on the ridges but gets lousy in the valleys around here.

No. Galileo will make the 2 engine option worth considering. I'm not sure how three constellations will compare to four constellations. For example, I've heard Adam say that he has yet to find a bad fix when both engines are fixed simultaneously, but this is with all four constellations. I don't know how three constellations will affect the robustness of what Adam is seeing.

Ultimately it would very likely be better to have Beidou also.

To be clear, I wouldn't guarantee that two fixed engines are always good, now would Adam. But he's definitely finding two fixed engines to be extremely reliable.

I haven't been able to get it to lie with 2 engines and four constellations yet. I don't think that would be the case with 3 constellations and 2 engines.

Edit: I meant to say "..., nor would Adam."

That's really good to hear. I have my Triumph-3 on order now. Hopefully I can chime in soon.
