Acreage method

I'd like to be able to manually type point numbers, ie:
47 (enter) 48 (enter) 49-52 (enter) 1050 (enter) 1066A (enter) 47 (enter)
As soon as you re-enter the starting point, it gives you acreage. It also allows you to save this point sequence, with a file name, such as "10.66 ac".
And, to be able recall this sequence, and edit it, and re save as same, or different file name. And to be able to stake this sequence, like a polyline. And to be able to have stationing BETWEEN POINTS, not over all. So, if client wants stakes every 50' that it is easy.
I don't want to have to pick points, via map, or list. (That being the only way).
Often, I have client wanting me to cut 10 ac in the field, with certain constraints. This would make field cogo more usefull.
Thank you,
Nate

As an addendum, I'd like to be able to NOT have acreage initiated, when the starting point is entered. So, I can set up poly lines for staking in the field. This would be good for boundary work.

This is several tasks that you are asking for that @Andrey Zhiganov can probably implement:

1) A long press of "Select Points" in the CoGo screens brings up the keyboard and allows multiple points to be entered with commas used as separators.

2 In the Area CoGo functions add a checkbox option to "Create Polyline" of the shape when OK is pressed. It should prompt for the polyline name when the polyline is created.

In the Stake Prepare screen you can choose "Stake Line" > "Line Segment from Map" to stake the segments as you desire.

I think this will add alot of usefulness and utility.
It's what many clients want need, from us.

Another thing, it NEEDS to be able to use SIMPLE CURVES, in acreage, and staking. My favorite software allowed comma delimited files, that had
CR108 (this meant Curve Right to 108) and it then asked for a Radius Point Number, or a RADIUS value.
Then, you could type CL109, and it would curve left to 109.
Obviously, J-Field won't do well with this, because it allows Alpha Numeric input.

So, what about typing CR+109, as in the PLUS symbol? Some separator, that defines it as a part of an initiated curve sequence. Or a hyphen. Something that allows you to keep ALL the sequences in the comma delimited file?

Thank you,
Nate

Hello Nate. Why don't you wnat to use Manual polyline/polygon creation? You create the required polygon sequence and stake the segments as Matt suggest.

Why don't you want to use Manual polyline/polygon creation?

The polygon creation tool displays the area so there is no need to even use the CoGo function. It also handles curves as defined by the 2 endpoints and another point on the curve.

The only request that is lacking is the ability to enter points from the keyboard. Maybe a long press of the + button can allow points to be entered from the keyboard with multiple points being allowed when separated by commas.

I will add this functionality to long click the Plus button, but I'm not sure if this is a handy feature for creating a polyline.

I personally would like to be able to do field cogo, and create a polyline with a point sequence, including curves, and then hand the LS to my son, and let him set all nodes, and Mark line around that parcel.
I often leave home with some coordinates, need to collect more, modify my boundary, and then stake it.
