Alpha Numeric Point Names

This is just a simple heads up, for some of you users, who use Carlson Surveying Software.
Under POINTS Pull down, click "Coordinate file utilities" And, there you will find "Convert Coordinate File Format".
And, here you can convert old files to Alpha-Numeric.
This will give you the ability to use "Base1" as a valid point name. And, you can mix and match stuff like:
S1 S2 etc. That would be "Search1".
Or, F1 is Final1

For quite a while, I avoided Alphanumeric point names, because I did not know this capability existed.
It can serve QUITE a broad range of purposes.
All your Topo shots can be "T1, T2, T3 etc. You can collect these, and generally keep better organized.
I hope this helps somebody.
