Auto restart, and stakeout.

If I am staking anything, and my profile is set to auto restart, then it uses the old mechanism, of storing a coord.

I'd prefer it to use the "accept as" feature.

This would mean that whatever was in the "accept as" description, would be used. This would give you (often) a 3 minute time to enter the desc.
But, that would be the prefered behaviour.
Thank you,
Nate

I have been trying to wrap my head around the logic of the Accept As function.
It does not seem to work for us.
We go to stake a point, the Target Point is 1001.
In the Accept As whitebox we enter 41001 along with the description, and other information.
Accept As is set in the Stop setting for the action profile as far as I know.
The point is staked, then we attempt to collect the point. The point does not seem to get stored anywhere even though the shot is taken, and we get the shot recorded tone.

Just curious as to what we may be doing wrong.

We have also experienced the LS freezing when doing this. (Requiring a system reboot) We changed the action profile to automatically accept the shot if all the parameters were met, and this seemed to eliminate the freezing.

When staking the point, you need to press Start in the Stake Action screen and then later press the Accept As whitebox button and then Create after the collection process has finished. Is this what you are doing? You can also enable "Accept As New Point" option in the How to Stop screen to always create a new point.

Matt,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, we tried those as well, to the best of my recollection. I should have taken notes on all of the things we attempted.
The How To Stop screen was definitely set to create a new point.
When collected the point, then pressed the Accept As button after the shot was collected, and created the point, upon return to the staking screen, the unit would freeze necessitating a reboot, this happened every time we repeated that procedure. So we tried a different method, which did not yield the results we desired.

We have also tried to figure out a way to simply store the point using an additive number, for instance automatically adding 10000 to the design point number when staked, but have not been able to find a way to do so without exiting the staking screen, and going to the collection screen.
