Background maps with parcel lines

While all kinds of ideas are put forth about wishlist items, I would like to throw in the ring for consideration again the possibility of getting background maps with parcel lines. It has been discussed here before and seemed difficult and/or expensive. There are a couple websites that provide GIS grade parcel lines. One I know of for free is acrevalue. There are a couple of other pay sites that are available as well but I can't remember them. I often find myself on a site recon, totally unprepared with search points but if my background map had the parcel lines on them, it would really be a gamechanger. It is something that I would pay extra for the added efficiency. I hope I haven't wrecked your poll thread here Eugene and feel free to add a poll to this if you like.

There are so many of these sites that are location specific. For instance, in North Carolina we have NCONEMAP. You can get their latest aerial images from the web map service https://services.nconemap.gov/secure/services/Imagery/Orthoimagery_Latest/ImageServer/WMSServer?
You can get parcel lines from their web feature service https://services.nconemap.gov/secure/services/NC1Map_Parcels/MapServer/WFSServer
FEMA has some as well and you can bring in the flood hazard lines.

There has to be hundreds of these sites with states and a lot of counties offering them. It would be nice if we had the option to enter these URLs for the specific sites we need. I use the parcel lines on almost every job. But I have to bring them into CAD, export a wblock, and put them in the LS. If we had the option to enter these URLs and the LS saved them, then we could zoom to the area we needed, and hit a "get data" button from this specific URL, that would be great.

Does this mean when we set up a project we can choose from the available background maps, including assessor parcel maps, if they have been added for our state or county?

Just beginning to catch up on features...For the background maps I would love to see the BLM PLSS layer be available for the linework of the PLSS. This is being updated as new Cadastral Surveys are being approved. It can be used in many GIS applications including Google Earth. User reference PDF guide attached and link to data is below.
