Base file location

You need to use the "Recover Base point" option in the context menu found in the points screen to create the base point in the database if it does not exist. Then use "Attach GNSS file" in the same context menu. You do not need to know the path as it will automatically be stored where it should be.

Matt is right about that. However it sounds like you are moving a base file into a second rover (if I'm understanding correctly), which will require moving it to the correct directory.

The procedure I posted works for a second rover. The "Recover Base point" option just must be used first.

So when you Attach GNSS File, you can select if from a USB thumb drive and it will copy the file to the Raw Data folder for the project?

Thanks guys. I was trying to get the file over to my rover but more problems existed that I didn't catch right a way. Got it fixed. Had one crew set a base up with 0.00 height. Worked fine for that site, except for base point, but when he threw control to second site for the next day and then setup again at 0.00. Well thats when the fun started. It took forever for my peanut to get such a simple problem figured out but I finally seen the light after I went back and processed all the the previous DPOS files individually through the web site. That way I could do the math on the correct elevation for each base setup each day. I had to see a print out in front of me to make the gears turn in the correct direction.

So I start to download base data tonight and put T1 and LS in truck while downloading like I have done 100 times before. Drive home and when I pull out LS I goto DPOS. It says base file not downloaded. So I try again. Nothing. I manually download and copy file over. Base point is 277. 278-307 are rover points off of this base. Recover base point says it already exists(277). Go back to Dpos and pick 277_130535 and it says Base data not downloaded.

What am I doing wrong?

I've bit myself with this a couple of times. Since I almost always export a g-file for use in a subsequent adjustment, the workarounds aren't trivial and they aren't entirely satisfactory. I think I'm in the minority with this approach, so I'm not hopeful that a feature request to allow the g-file export to accommodate an edited the base antenna height is going to get much traction. :(

I ran into that a few times. It worked for me when I deleted the DPOS session then do recover dpos session.

I never got it to work. I deleted dpos session and it never would associate with actual base point 277 again. SD card for some reason quit working and I think that had something to do with point/file not working. I don't know really. I was grasping for straws and deleted base point. Then tried to recreate base point from dpos and it all went south from there. I gave up.

I am having a similar problem and am not well-acquainted with these procedures.
My helper went to download the T2 base file into the LS at the end of work and received some error messages.
I could not figure out what was happening in the field so brought it all back to the office.
I can see the base point in the list of points in the LS. I downloaded the base file from the T2 using Netview & Modem and put it in the LS, telling that base point to "attach GNSS file". The problem is I still don't see that base file as an option to send to DPOS.
So I am not sure what my best course of action is at this point.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dave.
