Beast Mode

It is not needed at the base. You can broadcast 1 sec intervals and use upsampling to 5hz on the rover side.

This reduces heat at the radio and also prolongs battery life. We have been using upsampling for a long time now and have found no difference in performance compared to broadcasting 5hz

Thanks,
what should my settings be under RTK/DGPS? Main reason I asking is because I don't think my equipment (T2, HPT401BT,&LS) is performing like it did in the recent past. In moderate canopy I frequently have to occupy points for 45 min.s to 1 hour to get reliable results. Also lose radio connection more frequently and range from base/radio to rover seems diminished (signal strength is almost always "poor" or "fair" unless I'm really close). Could it be bad battery?

Change the rtk rate to .2 and check upsampling in rtk settings.

Are you fully up to date on the LS?

Make sure GPS and glonass are enabled under GNSS settings

Try a different battery. Also you can change the modulation to dqpsk, this will help range.

Thanks, that's how it's set up currently.
Most of my work is in challenging environments and I realize conditions have a major impact on the performance, but I am considering trying to arrange a direct comparison with another LS just make sure my system doesn't have any hardware issues.
I'm in east central GA, if anyone is willing, I'd like to set up a shadowing session on a survey.

I do private training Jack. Feel free to call me sometime.

I would also be happy to look at it on RAMS when it doesn't seem to be working properly.

I usually post on here when I have a question but today I had the pleasure of talking with Matt Sibole when I didn't have internet signal to look for a question I had about beast mode, for which I could've tried to look on here for the solution. I know it gets said intermittently but I wanted to say thank you again to Javad and all it's representatives/the entire community on here. It really is unparalleled.

Jack, just following up. Did the duldrums go away?
