Can I use my T-2 with a Trimble base station?

I have an old Trimble RTK setup, still works great but the old Trimble 5700 receivers don't have any of the new constellations. This isn't a problem for the base, but if I could use my T2 as the rover I think I'd probably have less trouble getting good positions under tree cover and near buildings. I know that I'll need to purchase the DGPS upgrade for my T2. Will I need to do anything else to get this to work? Anybody else doing it?

The T2 doesn't have an internal radio either. You'd have to purchase a radio or use TCP corrections. If you can set up the Trimble to communicate with TCP corrections via a static ip then it might work. One better solution would be to sell the 5700 and put that money towards another Javad reciever. I think it is always cleaner and easier to support issues when the equipment is used with similiar equipment.

Problem is the 5700 setup isn't worth much, maybe $3k on eBay.
To get an RTK Javad setup I'd need at miminum another T2 ($5k), RTK upgrade to my existing T2 ($1.5k), and a radio ($2k). I only use this setup 2-3 times per year, can't make the additional $8.5k to payoff.
I think I'm best off by selling both the T2 and the Trimble setup, and buying a Tersus kit instead. That would also get me BeiDou constellation as well.
