Caps Lock & Field to Finish with Javad LS

Is anyone incorporating their Javad LS measurements with conventional (Total Station data) into AutoCAD drawings using field to finish?

When we use field to finish codes it requires that capitalization is consistent throughout our data. Our total station data collector makes everything capitalized. However, using the LS unit we have to be mindful of capitalizing all of our descriptions which rarely happens. This requires additional time editing so that we can run the linework using field to finish.

Q1. Is there a setting for the LS unit that will only use capitalized text?

Q2. Is there another method we should be using for describing our measurements that is more beneficial for field to finish?

Perhaps we should be utilizing the feature codes available in the LS to achieve this same goal. Let me know what you think.

You can lock the Caps. I have to do this every time as well for the same reasons....Plus I think all Caps just looks better.
To lock shift, after you press the first letter - It goes to lower case...
Push the Up arrow once and then again but hold it for a couple of secs.
Cap lock enabled

I see, I was under the impression that it reverted back after doing this for one description but this does not appear to be the case. So I only need to remember to enable caps lock once at the beginning of the project for it to stay that way throughout?

I use Carlson Field to Finish for all my coding.
In the LS I find it helpful to use the memory store / memory recall for repetitive coding. Every data collector I’ve ever loaded a code list into I’ve eventually canned it because there’s too many situations that “break the rules.” The memory list is really nice and gives tons of room for storing. I build it as a job needs... I find that’s my best flexible solution for minimum typing.
I believe the MS MR buttons are in the corners of the screen when the keyboard appears. ...try that out

This is why we also have the description that can be used in addition with the code field or when some other custom description is needed.
