Cloud drive vanished from data exchange screen...

My Gmail cloud drive is not showing up on my LS data exchange screen. I can access my drive over the internet with my computer but not the LS.

You can check on app.javad.com under Jfield assistant and cloud drives to see if it is still showing there. If so, then I am not sure. I spoke to another person today who was having issues with google drive connection not showing all the folders on the drive. Maybe related and maybe a google issue?

The account does show up and the status is OK after Google reconnect. But I did find this;

2:00PM is about when I lost contact.

I got it back. Used the Google connect button and answered the Javad permissions request. Then I remounted the drive and it showed up as an option.

I cannot see any files that are created from the PC. I can create a file from the LS and see it. The PC can see the LS created file, but anything from the PC, is not readable.

I have revoked connection in the LS, I have unmounted an mounted the drive several times, and I have went through the google allow prompts several times. I cannot get the drive to show anything from the PC side.

So basically I can create files from the LS to Drive, but cannot go back the otherway.

Charles said he answered the permissions request. Where you able to do that?

Yes, those are asked when you tell in the web console of app.javad.com, went through it several times, with several different drive accounts, no change.

I have had to move to Dropbox, to keep the workflow going. Gotta Love GOOGLE, they make changes, without ever telling the consumer....... I will continue to try and report back any progress.

Woe is me. I am having the exact same problem. I thought I had solved the problem when I got the drive to show up, but I can see no folders or files on the drive. I have not tried to create a file on the drive from the LS but I suspect that will work. I may have to resort to the Dropbox solution so I can download & upload files from the field. The tumb drive doesn't have much reach.

You don't even need a thumb drive. You can directly connect the LS to your PC by USB cable. Of course USB is still very handy, but so is direct USB.

USB will only work in the office, if you plan on uploading coords to the field crew, you gotta have Dropbox or Google Drive.

Dropbox is working without any issues. Should be able to get a dropbox account free, with 3 GB storage.

Same issue yesterday. I haven't figured it out. I can remount it and export to the base google drive folder, but I can't see any files on the PC side. This eliminates uploading my calculations.

I use Google Drive for most of my business paperwork and they must be doing something over there because my drive files are crashing regularly and sayin "aw snap!" a lot! I mounted a dropbox file. It does sound like they changed permissions. I hope JAVAD will look into this ASAP because all of my data is mirrored in Google Drive.

I agree with Shawn... The RAMS transfer is very convenient for file transfer. There are actually some very subtle things you can do with Rams that handle outside of the box situations. I use it in thick canopy situations to monitor my recordation while I am away doing other tasks for example. (I think I made up the word "recordation" btw)

Any update on the Google Drive issue. I have moved to Dropbox, but would like the ability to get back to some of my old files, otherwise I will have to move the old google drive files to dropbox, based on how many I have, they will have to be done on a file by file basis as needed.

If google drive can be access, via the LS, that would solve the moving problem. Just an observation though, Dropbox seems to be more responsive than google drive. So it maybe a better solution in the end, anyway.
