Cogo: Area: Hinge and Parallel

I am having trouble getting these tools to work for me. When I go to use them and I enter in either the percent or acreage, I get this message: "Calculated area cannot be more than initial area" even though I am entering an acreage well under the initial one. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a bug in the software. Any guidance would be appreciated!

That's Joe, I had thought these functions didn't exist yet in that version of J-Field but I was mistaken. There seems to be a bug that needs to be fixed. I wasn't able to get Hinge to work either.
