is there any way to combine two 20 miniue obersvations into one 40 minute observations if the observations were within 1 minuite of each other ? Like a start and stop issue ?

Also, while working with files can we process only part of the file? Say, take a 4 hour file and break it into two 2 hour files.

I’m not sure but I think that Justin will do this. Justin is Javads post processing office software.

Justin is kind of a spendy tool ($1990) if all you want to do is split files. I recommend converting to RINEX and using teqc (or Winteqc), which will do this for free.

If you are converting to rinex already, you can just use a text editor like wordpad if all you want to do is edit file length. I use it all the time to correct an incorrect start date (caused by bad internal battery) and then trim off the first minute or two. Works like a charm.

Thanks , I'm slow . now can i combine the files and import them for reduction through dpos ?

That, I'm afraid, may be a bridge too far. I'm not aware of any RINEX-to-JPS converters. OPUS is the only option of which I'm aware in that case.

i cant get a useable output file. i keep getting from opus that the file is in 2 locations. it does require rinex 2.11. i found that out 30 minutes ago

As I recall, OPUS doesn't play well with the full conversion of a file from a Triumph receiver. When I right-click on a JPS file on my desktop, I have the option to convert it to RINEX for use with OPUS, and that strips out the data that OPUS chokes on. There's probably an option to do this in the GUI for JPS2RINWIN, but I just use the right-click option.

It often happens in the field. My gap was about 4 min in September last year. I use Justin Link to combine (2) files. After combining, DPOS successfully post-processed the file. Seems to work.

1 Files before merging.png 2 Merge recordset files dialog box.png 3 After execute merge recordset command.png 4 Final resulting file.png 5 DPOS processed file.png

Justin Link can also convert the final combined file into RINEX and for ex. GNSS Solution will post-process the file, too. Just wonder if somehow the RINEX converter from Justin Link and JPS2RIN standalone converter reflect the same version.
