Matt,
you can install TeamViewer QucikSupport on your iPhone/iPad to share its screen. But I think it is enough information. Could you check with NetView that 1234 password is set on your device and port is 8002 (go to Parameters | Networking | Server ). Also could you run a Telnet app from iPhone (I use iTerminalPro pro, but any telnet app with ability to type port is ok) and try to connect to 192.168.0.1 8002 ? Then login with empty login and password 1234. Try to print out command %% after the connection.

I can connect through Telnet with these parameters. Here is the response which continues to be repeated until I disconnect.

I am also able to connect through my iPhone to the app with the same settings. Only my iPads will not connect.

So the settings are perfect. The reason in the app itself. I will try to repeat.
Could you also check with NetView do TCP ports are in cmd mode (Parameters | Ports | TCP)?

Matt, can you try to install beta version 2.9.1 (37) to check situation with JMT?
To do this you just need Apple TestFlight application from AppStore.

I found several issues as well. So I will continue on Tuesday (Monday is holiday there). So I'm going to release iOS version on Tuesday, then Apple takes some days to check it before release.
