Disjointed base and point files

On my way to a section corner my ls unit went to the J screen. I am assuming some leaves must have brushed up against something but either way it was not responding. I decided to do a power cycle and when it came back on it showed I was still connected to the base and able to collect data. I sat on the point long enough that I thought I could get a good post processed solution and went on acquiring more points, all the while the base clock is counting up. Everything seems to be working per the usual.

I get back to the base, connect over bluetooth, and it says Start base, but with a time clock registering over 5 hours (the amount of time that has elapsed since first starting it.) Before I started a new point, I went to the manage base files screen, and downloaded the base point I had previously started, out of paranoia. I then started the base, then stopped it. In which it produced a base point with no other collected points attached to it! However I have raw files of all collected points and a downloaded base point file that is 29mb.

Has anyone run into this, and is there anyway to recover my data and get ppk base/rover solutions?

Appreciate the help.

Hi Alexey,

I haven't gone through that process before. Is there an email you can pass along? Do I just send the raw gnss files?

In such a case connect to your base receiver again, go to the same screen where "Manage Files" button and run "Sync DPOS Task". It will automatically do every missed steps for DPOS task creation in the current project (find and download file, create base point, create DPOS task). And it is safe to run it many times as it will not do redundant work.

So try the "Sync DPOS Task" and tell the result. If it will not solve your problem (for ex. you already deleted the file on base receiver) you can try another way.
Go to "Points" screen, go to second screen of Menu and try "Create Base & DPOS from File".

Hello,
I have a similar problem. I'm not sure how I managed it, but when I returned to my base yesterday afternoon and connected over Bluetooth, the "Start Base" button was there (but grayed out) in place of the usual "Stop Base" button. The time clock was still going, and it had about 8 hours on it. I disconnected and reconnected the base several times, and eventually, a clickable version of the "Start Base" button came back. I clicked it, and it asked if I wanted to store Point 6. I had started the day storing Point 4- what happened to Point 5 is a mystery. I immediately stopped the base and asked it to download, but that failed, so I just turned everything off. When I got back to the office, I reconnected the base and the rover, and I downloaded the base file through the dpos screen. It was named Point 4, so I thought I was in business. What I should have noticed is that there were no other point files listed below the base file. This morning I still did not notice the problem, and I sent the base file to dpos for processing. It came back without any associated point files. I found this topic, and I tried both of the solutions that Michael provided above. After each attempt, I sent the files to dpos, and they failed. I know the point files exist, because I can see the .jps files in the raw data. My theory is that the sync dpos didn't work because I had already sent the base file to dpos before I tried it.

I tried to use TLS2TLS (which I have never used before) to send the project to support. The LS spent a long time archiving the project and sending it. But then I got an error that said the message couldn't be sent.

I think that the base file is still not correctly linked to the rest of the points, but I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

After each attempt, I sent the files to dpos, and they failed.
In your project you have one correct DPOS session with associated 31 rover points. Please delete all other DPOS sessions with 0 associated points. Your were getting "fail" status for Base-Rover processing because transmitted Base height has error in 728 ft (see screenshot associated with the Base point). There was a restriction on DPOS service which didn't allow to process such a data. Yesterday they changed behavior on Debug DPOS server and it uses now standalone Base position for post-processing. Please try to send again the correct DPOS session on Debug server (DPOS settigs -> Advanced -> Use DEBUG Server to Process Data). I have tried and it processed 14 rover files with Fixed solution and 11 files with Float.
