Distance & Direction To Base White Box

I often want to see the distance (and, less often, the direction) from my rover to my base. I looked for a white box option, but didn't see one. Am I looking in the wrong place? Right now to access that information I'm pressing the sigma button (not sure why that icon is used for the base/rover info), then hitting escape to get back to the action screen. Having the base distance/direction on a white box would eliminate a lot of button pushing.

Sometimes I will put the base in one of the P Delta white boxes.

Sometimes I stake the base, from 200' away, and compare my suunto compass. To get magnetic declination, for that particular area.
Also, under (I think) radio, as in the radio link, I can get dist to base, but, I'm not sure if it has direction.

Added to the TODO list.

I'm not trying to be critical/negative here, but what are you using this info for so often that you want a button for it? I use the radio link to see a distance to the base, but that doesn't have direction. I like Nate's idea for compass calibration, but I'm wondering what else I could do with this info, besides being disappointed in my radio range. :(

Direction to base is mostly an orientation thing, but I use distance to base as a way of deciding if I'm getting too far away and should be moving the base instead of continuing. Vertical positions in particular are sensitive to distance.

I love this idea... do you find the results to be accurate using this method? It seems like the perfect way to calibrate a compass.

I like the declinated ones. Either in azimuth, or bearings.
1st choice for me, where most things here are in bearings, is the adjustable declination bearing model.
You wind up being able to set it to work directly with GLO notes, or in grid bearings. Fast, and less blunders.
When mosquitos are biting, it's handy to read directly.
