Download Problem / Firmware Question

After running into some trouble getting a file to DPOS (problem since solved, thanks Shawn!) I decided to download the file via USB. I connected normally via NetView, but the download started very slowly and stalled. I tried a couple more times, but the farthest I got was about 20% of 13MB after 20 minutes or so.

I thought my firmware might be out of date; I have 3.6.0b3 dated May 21, 2014. I checked the website, and it says that 3.5.12 (November 12, 2015) is the current stable version, so I initiated an update. The update process seemed to go normally, but even after disconnecting and reconnecting, NetView still shows 3.6.0b3, and file transfers still get stuck.

Suggestions?

Increase the baud rate setting to the maximum speed when connecting in NetView and the transfer speeds will be a lot faster.

Also if you have already downloaded the file into J-Field it is simpler to copy from J-Field to a cloud drive or USB drive than connecting to NetView.

I have been using the RAMS file viewer to get files since you and John and mentioned it to me, I like transferring files this way.

All helpful replies regarding the file download, but I'm concerned about the firmware update failure.

Where should the file be in the T-LS? First I looked under Computer\Triumph-LS00259\\\Mounted Volume\VS Data\Maps\8250-098\ and subfolders (8250-098 is the project name), to no avail. Then I did a global search for *.jps files under the root and subfolders, but don't see anything newer than last October.

Did you look in the raw data subfolder?

Yes.

Question: Once a file has been submitted to DPOS, is it purged from the T-LS?

No. It is not purged. You might also look on the SD card. VS Data/Maps/[project name]/Raw Data. I don't recall if the DPOS file is stored in the same place that "What to Record" specifies for raw data. I'm not sure if the version of J-Field that you have has this, but new testing versions show the location of the raw data file in the Points>Edit screen. Highlight the point, select the pencil at the top and select the raw data tab.

I noticed that when I go to process a job in DPOS the antenna height changes from actual 1.53 meters to 0.142 meters, even the printout says 0.142 meters, is there a reason for this?

Are processing with the DPOS web portal or through J-Field?

Downloaded the update but when I insert the antenna height it still changes it to reduced value, to get a height of 1.53m I have to enter 16.5m to get the correct height of 1.53m, any ideas why?
