I’m just hoping that the Linux update takes care of the genmapsdata.db file issue. We’ve had tons of trouble that seems to be rooted to that file. I’ve actually given up even trying to unpack old archived jobs anymore until it’s fixed. With the creation of multiple, duplicate coordinate systems when doing so, it seems to really increase the odds of corrupting the genmapsdata file.
We’ve resigned, as of now, to just create a new job and import the previously adjusted state plane coordinates. That just, unfortunately creates them as design points instead of survey points but the issues we were having on most all unpacked jobs just became too common.

Any more info on this?
I'm guessing that once our machines are Linux, there will be no going back to Windows.
One of those things we all await...

I believe that with RTK firmware team is currently trying to find and fix a bug that causes the receiver to crash. This update looks like it will be available before Linux. There are still a number of issues that need resolved before Linux can be released.

After the Linux OS is released there probably won’t be any new builds for Windows released.

NCRTN, North Carolina RTN, are broadcasting Galileo corrections on about 1/3 of the CORS and plan to upgrade another 1/3 by the end 2018. So when we start using Galileo, this should help be a very welcomed upgrade.

I think it was built in to track them so it would be ready when enough of them were up to make a difference. So, the software needs update now to actually use them in solution.
...and I believe there is a one time fee that will have to be paid for each individual unit to use them.....
