Fixed Solution

Over the last week to 10 days I have been having difficulty obtaining a fixed solution on the LS. The areas surveyed are in rural neighboods, low to mild sat interfereance and no tree canopy or building obstructions to occulde the receivers view of the sky.

In some cases it wont fix. At other times it may fix after 1-2 minutes and typically only on engine 1.

It seems to occur more frequently (but not exclusively) when connected to the CA Real Time Net.

Is this typical? If not, then I'm wondering if There is a problem with my LS setup configuration.

Hi Jim,
I have heard similar reports. I believe I know why, but let me ask our development team before I say anything.

Thanks Shawn.

I'm in Ca zone II.

Last night (midnight) i was able to get a fast fixed position within 5 ft of my 2 story home when connected to the CA Real Time Network.

10 minutes ago I can't get a fixed position in the vicinity of my home and in many instances I'm not getting a floating position.

Space weather that isnt showing up as interfance on the LS???

At the moment my unit isnt useable.

Hi Shawn,

I may need some help on the vocab. I run my setup typically with one fixed position required. Corrections were received from network. it's about 12 miles out, 1 sec delay no losses. RTK corrections communication shortcut button was green and OK.

Most of the time the unit indicated STA rather than FIX or FLT. If I taped the RTK Engines shortcut button there were times when status of the 6 engines were not displayed. I believe that the only item described on the screen at the time was the rectangular button slightly below center describing correction delay. It typically indicated 1 but I believe it went as high as 4.
