Likely there will be no difference between LS capability with multi-constellation corrections from a Triumph 1M and a Triumph 3. The only exception I can think of might be if the base is in a less than ideal location.

Darren,

I only have personal experience with a T2 as my base. I can not truly comment regarding the T1M to T3 comparison as a base. It is my guess though, that as a base, the T1M would not be inferior to the new T3, provided equal constellation usage.

This is of interest to me. I'm sure I am not alone in sometimes being in an environment that is less than ideal. Sometimes we just have to set the base in the best place we can and hope for the best, and honestly usually I am pleasantly surprised. But if the T3 performs better in these scenarios then that alone would make a difference for me.

Thanks!

I'm a fan of 100% sky view, at the base. So are many of us. I'd suggest buying a high quality long pole, for the base. I own a 20' Hixon pole. It is not real straight, because it's been damaged. It's usually holding the UHF. But, I also have a Hixon 25' one. I've set it up at around 18' before. I used ratchet straps, to be sure it did not shift. It has the Hixon bipod. I'm suggesting to keep the base as close to 100% sky view, as you can.
