How to use average points, when you get 2 that are too close?

I came through the first time, and shot a 3/4" rod in concrete I shot it twice. It gave me 2 coordinates that were 0.04' apart. (It was an obvious marker) After localizing, and such, It told me to look 0.30' to the NE. of it. So, I dug down, and FOUND the actual survey mark, a 5/8" rod.

So, I shot 5/8" rod twice. Now, I have 4 points real close to each other. The LS is treating all 4 as ONE POINT. So, I reduced the CLUSTER AVERAGE down to 0.08', and deleted avg points, and re made them.
Solved.
However, is there a way to tell the LS, that any pile of repeat shots are ONE point, and another pile thats real close is ANOTHER point? I can see it would be handy to be able to differentiate points for cluster average?
It's not super important, but I can see this as a potential source of minor error.

Thanks
Nate

That's what the preview button is there for. So you can make sure it is averaging points that you want averaged. If I see it has something in there that isn't correct I will cancel, then change the page of the ones I don't want included and then do it.

You can move a point to a page then turn off that page. It doesn't average points on pages that are off.

That's great to know, Matt. Thanks for checking. In that case, I would say this is Nate's solution.
That's how I average all my points, like Matt says stores a surveyed point. You just have to be careful Nate, I have not found a threshold and it holds the previous points you have selected. First thing I do is hit the de-select button. You can also store it on a different page if you want.

The cluster average, in the points menu, will prompt for a threshold.

Can you move a block of points to a different page or does it have to be done one point at a time? I've filtered a group of points by description and selected them all using the 'multi-selection' page but when I return to the Points screen, I can only edit them individually.

Multi Select Actions from the points menu, select the ones to move and tap the menu button then edit selected objects, check page, select the page you want.

You can use the magnifying glass and enter the point group (100..250) and it will then only show that range. Then hit the resource button and hit batch edit. Then you can change them all at once.

I really miss being able to average from the collect screen. There used to be a way to average a cluster of shots there.
It was taken away. Never brought back.
Now, I'd like it if:
Cluster review and average.
Bring it back, please!
Thanks,
Nate
