Today had a recurring issue on a large job. On each outing to this site, i add additional linework (alignments and also imported lines from CAD) in order to work from. As i added today’s file, the LS began to crash every 10 minutes or so. I would attempt to stake an alignment and it would take several minutes to render the line work in the file. Then after several reboots, the unit prompted me to reboot again in order “optimize memory performance”. I completed the request (i was forced to complete the task after several reminders). Once the LS rebooted, i checked the memory on the internal and also on the SD card. Both had over 9gb of remaining space. I then began unloading pages from the map to see if that would fix it, and that ultimately got the unit back moving.
This is not the only job that i have loaded multiple Rounds of line work. This is my typical process and have not had issues in the past. After talking with Adam, he mentioned that it could be a bug and suggested i send the file to support. I will upload it this evening.
Has anyone else had any issues similar to this? I really hope it is a bug that can be fixed easily because this process is one i use quite a bit.
