I thought I'd post a pic, of a recent survey

2 field days. THEN I discovered I had set corners wrong... had to go back on a third day, and reset corners. (This was due to the file association error, in Carlson. Not Carlson's fault. My fault) This is the kind of performance the JAVAD gives me. If you look it up on GE or a USGS, you will see, it's got alot of covered up spots. The 1 ac in the SE corner was ALL COVERED UP. Even used chainsaw and winch to get fallen trees off the corner.
I'd LIKE a button on the inverse screen, that MAKES a MID point, between the two points being inversed. Sometimes just to set corners, and sometimes to make temp coords. For searches.

IMG_4994-s.jpg IMG_4995-s.jpg IMG_5083-s.jpg Part B of the Odom Survey. Here are some pics. The first 2 were done without radio. I was out of range. I observed the Wagon Spindle 2 times, once for 20 min, and once for 10 Min. Total of 30 Min on point. It is the Section corner 4-5-8-9 The two PPK shots agreed by 0.05'. The last pic is of some stuff in the vicinity of the Section Corner 8-9-16-17. There were 3 Pipe there. They were about 5.3 apart. They were originally sticking up some 6'. You can see part of their mangled remains in the pic. I shot all 3 pipes, in about 15-20 mins. 3 fully verified shots within that time. The little flags in the pic are tied on sticks, that are sticking up, above the shot points. The point the pole is on, in the pic is the most easterly point. Camera angle is about S60E.
IMG_5086-s.jpgThis last shot... is the most incredible little guy. He is 5 yrs old. FIVE! He is sitting on top my chain saw. He has his little blue backpack. He has his orange juice out, and is enjoying it. This guy absolutely LOVES going surveying. He once asked me, "Dad, what do we have to do?" "I said I gotta get a shot on this fence, to see if it is straight." He Replied "Good, Dad. Get a shot on that fence, and BAM! We are good!"
I really like being at work with others who WANT to be there.
He runs ahead, and really gets alot out of it.
