I have used Javad receivers for years and I've been very pleased with the battery life of the T2, T3 and T-LS. It seems like the batteries always last longer than the daylight (and stamina) I have available to survey. Ten hours has been sufficient for me for several years, so if the choice is between longer battery life and lighter weight, I'd prefer the weight savings.
I like that the T2, T3, and T-LS each have external battery connectors that can run and charge from a 12V battery. I much prefer that option over field replaceable batteries. The other day I forgot to charge my T-LS overnight for the first time in years. I plugged it in to a 9AH 12V sealed lead acid battery and kept working the next day. Fortunately I only had a few shots. It was cumbersome to lug around an extra brick, but I was able to keep going and I consider that operator error, not a design flaw.

It is not a question of replacing batteries in the field only. Swappable batteries gives:
- flexibility of adding extra hours to worktime if ever needed
- easy replacement for used batteries without service help (peope simply have doubts and ask what will happen if their battery in Triumph receiver wears off)
- easy way to cut off power if needed, like drowning device in water (I have also situations with Triumph-2, where receiver did not boot at all after drop and it was necessary to unplug battery for a moment.)
And in my opinion, this built-in or not built-in batteries thing is not the most important here.

Thanks, for the all valid points! Will you stay anonymous or you can name yourself, so I can call you by the name in communication?

So 10 hours is plenty. I work 10 t0 12 hrs but most of that time the LS isn't setup and running. I have never had the LS run out of battery.

10 hours was enough for me even before the improvements in efficiency that save a lot of time. I often got more than 10 hours anyway. I would like the battery to be serviceable for us without a trip to the shop. Anything we could swap without the expensive down time would be an improvement.

Depending on which unit being discussed (base +radio) or rover (LS)The battery life is fine the way it is unless you intend to increase it for the base/radio.
I don't care about hot swapping batteries.
