Are IMU's, still in development?
Has the Umbrella Option been abandoned?
Is T-3 going to take the place of some of the above?
Ever since hearing about IMU's, I have been wanting something that could: Gain fix in the field, carry a "traverse" into woods, set on a point, and record it, then "traverse" back to the field, and adjust the "traverse", with residuals, and choose to repeat, or "good enough".
Or, with Umbrella, to be able to shoot a closed loop, without IMU.
Anyhow, I'd sure like to know what's going on.
Half of our job is to know what is coming down the technology track.
And, how to use it.
