Incomplete Base file problem

Yesterday I used my T-LS & T-2 combo as usual, all seemed to go as normal.

Back in the office I went to DPOS my results and noticed the DPOS screen characteristics looked odd but wasn't really paying attention--in hindsight it was because it only showed 2 points in the point file. I continued with the DPOS process which resulted in the attached screen image.

I suspect my base download session got corrupted somehow as it only showed 2 points on the point list--the base point and one other. There were 61 points collected on the job and I would say "collect GNSS data" was selected on almost all of them if not all of them.

I deleted the file from the SD card and redownloaded it from the base but it was still the same point list with only 2 points. So I rebooted both units and went to download them again. I deleted the file from the SD card again. Then I got the bright idea of deleting the session from the list of files that could be DPOS'd--that may not have been too smart as I am now stumped on how to proceed.

I'd rather not lose all the data due to my lack of knowledge on how to navigate through this problem.

Also, I used the units today and went through all the above normal procedures without a hitch so this problem would appear to be only specific to yesterday's work.

Any advice out there?

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

DPOS sessions can be recovered using the "Recover DPOS session" option found in the Point's screen menu. Without being able to see the project it is difficult to understand what went wrong. If you share the project archive we can help more.

Shawn: Thanks, for some reason that was unchecked.

Matt: Thanks, I have uploaded the file archive. Also, I was able to reinstate the ability to have a file to DPOS for this job. I have tried a couple of times overwriting the .jps file, including downloading it with Netview & Modem directly from the base and overwriting the file in the LS. Nothing has changed in that the file only shows 2 points in the DPOS point file and going through the DPOS process only leads to the same result shown on my original screenshot.

So I am not sure what to do next, if anything.

Thanks guys.

I looked at the project. You started the base at point 80000. It appears that at some point you staked point 80000 and accepted it and stored another raw data file with it. This broke the DPOS session. In the project archive you shared, 80000_100609.jps is not included. You need to delete point 80000 and then use "Create Base & DPOS from File". Select 80000_100609.jps. I believe this should fix it. If you share 80000_100609.jps I could fix it.

Thanks Matt.

So that day my helper and I were working in a downpour for hours and had finished up in the back of the property. The screen was a little undependable due to the rain.
I told my helper to point stake the base point 80000 so we could walk back to the truck without getting too far off track given that the terrain and sky yielded no clues as to direction or location in the pine swamp we were in. I remember him saying a little later that it jumped to point 80001 on the point stake, which was fine (or so I thought at the time), very near our destination.

My hunch is some fat-finger or rain-induced action created the situation Matt described. We only took one more check shot afterwards back at the truck before downloading the base and picking up.

If needed I will try to get that file to you Matt, it's too large to attach right now. I likely will try to resolve it myself after I get back tonight just for the learning experience but it is nice to know I have something to fall back on if I falter.

You guys have been awesome! This is part of the reason why I post on forums when guys are wanting to buy from their local dealer. I tell them I am 3000 miles away from Javad headquarters and I get the greatest service that you can imagine. The only difference is shipping time when that comes into play.
