Installing updates

Well, I am possibly in trouble....

I Saw that there was an update available, and my battery was low.
So.... I plugged it to power, and told it to install the update.

We might be in trouble.

It keeps saying "installing updates" and does nothing.
I just unplugged it, in considering that the power supply might be interfering.

I hope that is the problem.

GOT IT. I held down the pwr button, and got it shut down. And, it rebooted and looks fine.

I would be cautious with installing Testing branch updates as sometimes new releases won't boot after they are installed.

I did not know that.
The reason I am doing it, is in hope that localize, and reverse shift is fixed, in this release. I just got it back... Installed... Looks right, best I can tell. Ver Jfield 1.119.3239 is installed, and running.

It's been a day or two since I checked; is a new release version out?

For those of us who don't use the LS every day, it'd be nice if there was a website or email list that would let us know when a new one is available. Otherwise I have to bring the LS into the office and boot it up to check.

Nate has been working with a testing version for a few days. The next version has not been released yet. It will be a significant release.

We have this already Update Notes in the Software Updates screen and also Application Notes in the Support screen.

Yes, Matt, it is there.
It would be nice to have an update section, on the web site though.
To get them, and read them, means boot up the LS, plug in to the internet, and locate the glasses, and they try to read it.
Then, decide to or not to.
If there was a "mirror" of those notes, on the forum, it would let us access and see what we are doing, even if the LS is "Out in the Field" while we are studying and making decisions.
