Yes. Set the LS up in the general group to recieve TCP corrections. Enter the static IP and port being used with the base.

Verizon can only provide me with a static IPV6 address, which has 6 parts. The LS seems to only allow me to enter a 4 part number. Is there a way on the LS to enter the 6 part IP address?

I am not sure Jim.

I did a little research and it looks like it is not possible to use the Ipv6 address currently in the LS.

Do any of you fellas know to date if the Verizon hotspots available now work? I just ordered mine earlier today and saw this post.

I use 4 of them everyday, without issue. Just do not let the one at the base, get too hot, or it will cut off.
Thanks. Are they current models? I'm wondering if this IPV6 issue is resolved.

Would you be able to describe your setup and procedures for success? I appreciate your time!

Mr. White, where did you end up on your Verizon static IP? I saw your write up on avoiding them. Did the IPV6 issue get resolved?

I've had an ellipsis jetpack with static that never would connect to the internet and I called today and was told it wouldn't and needed a better model. Ok. I better call and make sure.

Yes all MIFI's have static ip addresses. Naturally try to stay as close as possible, but have gotten great results up to 5 miles, have done as much as 10 miles before. The 10 miles points were all wide open, not sure what canopy would be at that distance.

Thanks. I'm working on a large Forestry job in SE Oklahoma and have cell coverage just about everywhere I have been so far, but it's a nightmare for my 35w radio.

Can you describe your setup and best practices for using them? Thanks.

My jetpack does not have a static address, so I could not connect to by TCP. It did allow me to forward the port, but the Verizon network did not allow an outside connection. I read it was something to do witha "NAT" firewall.
