Is This Normal?

One of the points I shot today proved to be in a challenging environment, even though it didn't look like it. At one point I had 10 groups going, and the LS went back and forth between fixed and fload. Eventually it hit the specified confidence level (50) and started clicking away. When it hit the validation phase it struggled again, getting maybe one epoch every 30 seconds or so, but I figured that when it had gotten 10 it would auto-store the point and start over. However, instead of auto-storing the display remained unchanged while the epoch clicks continued.

Eventually I stopped the observation and accepted the point, but I'm wondering why it didn't auto-store after 10 validation epochs, and why the display remained static and the epochs kept clicking. Is that normal behavior?

P.S. I updated to the latest release of Linux and J-Field yesterday.

The fix during validation did not agree with the current group. It will continue until enough epochs to go back to phase 1 or user can reset the engines so that an agreeable fix can be acquired.
