J-Field "reject" command being sassy

When I'm staking out points in canopy, I use phase 1 of the Boundary or Precise Topo presets to zero in on the point. After it gets to phase 2, I move the rover as indicated and reject the shot in progress and repeat as needed until I'm right on it. When I click Reject (because I don't want to store a point that's still 3 feet away) it stores it anyway! It doesn't always do this - it seems to be at random. Sometimes it will reject it (as indicated by the "Boinnng!" sound), and sometimes it store it (With the glorious "Ding" sound). Of course this creates all kinds of problems when I go to my next trial point and start to measure because it says there's already a Surveyed coordinate for that point. Shouldn't the Reject button cancel everything to do with that shot?
