Jfield crash

I have a customer that his LS crashes when trying to connect to his RTN. It has happened a couple of times and kicks him out to the Windows OS. He is currently having a hard time getting back into JField. Is anyone else having any trouble connecting to their RTN?

I am having problems connecting to my Android (4.4.4) phone. Seems to connect normally, but internet access stays No. When I hit the configure button, J-Field locks up until hard reset. If I switch back to our office WiFi, J-Field locks up again until another hard reset, then everything runs fine unless I try the phone again.

I can connect to RTN on my truck's mobile hot spot, no problem. Other devices can connect to my phone. I was hoping the recent Updates (.203) would fix, but not yet.

I discovered that the AT&T sim that came with my unit is working, even after a year, so I have used that. Can't tell how much data I have left on it though.

I have Triumph-LS serial number 0196 if Michael would check my dump reports.

Jim Pyles. He just updated his software yesterday. He did not have the problem before yesterday. I am not sure if it sent a report or not. I told him if he was able to boot back to JField to connect to wifi or hardwire it so it would send the file to you.

I had Jim do a forced update of all systems hoping to fix the problem. I have not spoken with him after he completed that. I will post again after I speak with him.

If he has the same Wifi issue, is there a fix? Will a factory recovery fix it?

With the new capability to choose builds in J-field update, we retrograded our WindowsCE OS build from 7.0.57.3 back to 7.0.54.1. We are back to normal using our connection to the Android mobile hotspot.
Having the choice to test builds and go back is an excellent development. I really appreciate it.

Steve are you using a special receiver code? I thought this had always been a hidden feature.

To go back to an older version of the OS would require this wouldn't it?

I didn't think it was a public feature.

No. After reading Jim Campi's post (Stable vs Latest), I checked out the Update Software settings. The old WinCE build was offered as a pre-release option.
