JMT RTK

I am having trouble getting an RTK fixed solution with Javad Mobile Tools for Android.

I have a Triumph-LS and a Triumph-2 base that I connect via WiFi to a static IP address and send corrections via TCP. I recently bought a second T-2 to use as a second rover. I can control the T-2 rover with my data collector running SurvCE and get an RTK fixed solution. But I have to use my phone for a WiFi hotspot to get RTK corrections to the data collector, so I would like to eliminate the data collector and control the T-2 rover directly from my phone with JMT.

I set my T-2 base on a known point and start the base with the T-LS. The T-LS gets corrections and has RTK fixed solution. I connect to the rover T-2 with JMT and configure the RTK Rover. JMT shows the corrections are received, but no base distance and no RTK fix.

I tried clearing NVRAM on the T-2 rover. Didn't help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

John, let's try step by step.
1. You can connect to a T2 RTK Base and get correction with T-LS and get fix solution
2. You are trying to use a different receiver+controller+JMT to connect to the same RTK Base and get corrections but don't have fix.
3. Which version of JMT do you use?
4. What kind type of connection do you use to get corrections from T2 RTK Base to T-LS (I see GSM on, this seems to enter Internet and to connect to the T2 base with static IP)?
5. The reason can be AuxPort dev/ser/a. By default this is dev/ser/b. Do you have RTCM3 input OAF options on dev/ser/b? Please try to change the aux.port.
Also please try to turn on extrapolation mode instead of delay (in Survey Settings). JMT should set this by default but please check.
Also please turn off 5Hz mode also.

Then let's continue the investigation

Thanks for the reply, Yuri. I finally got a day to troubleshoot this some more.

1. Correct.
2. Correct.
3. Version 4.2 Build 11/30/79 12:00AM
4. T2 RTK Base connects to WiFi hotspot with static IP. T-LS gets corrections via GSM.
5. I changed aux port to dev/ser/b. Didn't help.
Do you have RTCM3 input OAF options on dev/ser/b?
My options report is attached. I'm not sure how to read it.
Extrapolation mode is on. 5Hz mode is off.

Why does the date of the build say 11/30/79?
I can test this out in a few hours and see if It works with my t2

Hi Yury, I tested that new version and was able to connect and get corrections from my LS base using TCP corrections from the sim card. I was able to get float and fixed solutions. I notice John was using RAW mode under the RCV settings. Maybe this is part of the problem on his end or maybe it was the update? I did not use RAW mode and have the login as default with the password Javad... My LS base uses the same password. John probably don't need a password. I don't use one with my T2 base when using TCP either.

I used following settings in LS. TCP Server settings are main.

Then following settings in JMT - RTK Rover, new correction RCV source with authentication.

If I start my Triumph-2 base with my Triumph-LS and use my second Triumph-2 as a rover with JMT as described above, I can get a fixed solution and it seems to be working. Today I attempted to start the base T-2 with JMT instead of with the T-LS and ran into a couple problems.

1. In RTK Base - Radio Setup - New Static IP Base - I choose the settings, then every time I press Check Settings, the app would crash. I sent a crash report from JMT.

2. In RTK Base - Base Position - Get from Catalog - All Points - I choose the point I want to use and it says "Can't convert selected point coordinate to WGS84." I want to be able to start the base with a design point, not a surveyed point. The point I chose is a grid coordinate in the project coordinate system.

Thank you for the information. Please update to latest release of JMT - 4.4.2.
For the second problem please try a workaround - select Copy to Design from catalog points.
