I still run a pair of Legacy E Units. They got real wet last week. Yesterday, the base Legacy E shut down on it's own. I opened it up, to be sure it was dry. After fussing with it for about 3 hrs, I finally figured out it has a damaged power cable. So, my point is that these units are quality units. I have replaced the internal battery on one of them. They are some 20 yrs old. Still working.
Just a quality product.
They are built a little like a schonestedt, except sealed better. The Shonestedt was designed to take abuse. The Legacy E are built that well, but are sealed better.
I'm planning to buy an LS.
