Low cost static receiver

I'm wandering if Javad isn't missing out on maybe developing a really low cost receiver made just for static purposes. I've seen others, i.e. Emlid, Tersus, etal coming on the scene with low cost receivers even with RTK. I know they are not the quality of Javad machines, but this might be a door to open and gain a foot hold with Javad's world renowned reputation.

Bryan,
It's kind of an old story.
Serious money is spent by major players, to research and develop useful products.
Then some Asian/Chinese company makes a copy, and sells it for 1/5 the cost. I'm just guessing here, but I'd guess that a Javad T-2 costs less than $200 each to actually manufacture. However, lots of money and work went into it, before it could be sold.
I predict that someday, when you buy a survey, that it will come to you with a fancy PDF format, and, you will also download a survey app, called "public access survey app" in your smart phone, and the general public will be guided around that parcel.
It could be called "Realtors Delight". But, I'm just guessing!
Social media has replaced friends already. You can do drama, business, and love, all in your PJ's!
Where are we going?
I'm not sure.
But, I'm worried!

Yes, I understand all the development and programming costs, but I'm sure even with the Triumph chip and other Javad chips, the functions can be limited for just basic use.

Case in point, I've got some kind of problem with my ATT sim card for RTN, not sure what it is yet. But, if I'm losing connection to the RTN, it would be nice to have two local low cost static receivers on site collecting data and I could PP. That way I could endeavor to continue working.

I know that some surveyors are using t-2's as basic static units, and that there is some kind of app that you can control the t2 with. You can enter the height, start stop, and other basic functions. I've never done it. However, it is L1 L2. And it can do a position off cors, and generate data like OPUS. I have used DPOS many times. Through the LS.
Works good.

Yes, but getting back to low cost is the issue. I bought the Emlid M2 (ublox) receiver shown above and have tested as static, I'm not interested in their RTK. It's very capable static receiver. That's what I want from JAVAD, low cost (<$1K) , multi frequency static only receiver. I'm sure it could be done.

I would rather buy from JAVAD than others. Hell, I've even used a Garmin 12XL for static and got a good position for creek locations after PP.

A static T2 is $2,490. Pretty good price for a static machine if you ask me.

That is a decent price for a static only receiver, and it is very small too.
Remember, T2 does not track all of the Gallileo & BieDou signals however.

I am not sure sub $1k is realistic right now for a survey product. $2k, I can see that though - but I would want it a fully capable 3 or 4 constellation static receiver.

GPS/QZSS, GLONASS L1, L2; BeiDou B1, B2; Galileo E1, E5 It tracks all of these, I have PP against known NGS stations, results are 2-3cm, H & V. M2 $449 + Harxon GPS500 Mini-Survey Antenna with NGS antenna calibration $225= $674 for multi-constellation static receiver excluding tax. The receiver has the ublox chip in it. Emlid just re-packaged with wifi. It has the internal RTKLIB for RTK. I'm not interested in RTK with this, I just want basic static receiver- Javad can do this with their expertise and their reputation as a world leader.
