LS Base using TCP MiFi Devouring My Data Plan

I have a 16 GB Verizon data plan for the business.
Historically this has not been a problem and my Base MiFi was fairly consistently eating around 5 - 7 GB per month.
Since June my LS Base MiFi is eating my plan for lunch... June it used 11 GB July 17 GB and i just got a warning with half the month to go that I only have 25% remaining... Just looked and again the Base MiFi is just killing it...

I have checked that the base is not sitting on RAMS...it is not... any suggestions? This has cost a pretty penny and taken me by surprise.

RTPK have anything to do with this? Did it come online in June? ...that’s about the time I began to run the pre-release version...??

I can't provide much input here but I am surprised that a base would use 5-7 gb let alone the larger numbers. Is it using the mifi to download updates?

No it definitely waits till I tell it to update. The last few updates I specifically used my Ethernet connection... and especially not three months in a row... something is different

Tim, we count statistics of the connections(Ethernet, WiFi, GSM) individually since boot time. It is available by "Stat" button. Also you can reset it. So, you can control your traffic and report anything suspicious. Outgoing traffic from Base is not counted usually, so it is strange that you ever had even 7GB per month. Does you ISP counts download only?
You should expect 3Mb/hour for outgoing corrections. If you have only one rover, you can count it's download and this numbers should be approximately equal.

Let me clarify scheme of your setup:
[ Base (transmits corrections)] <---> [ Your MiFi device ] ---> (( internet )) <----> [Rover(receives corrections)]

Base is TRIUMPH-LS connected over WiFi interface to MiFi device. Rover is LS or other receiver connected to WiFi or directly. Please clarify vendors of MiFi and Rover.
Is your MiFi getting the dynamic IP of static from ISP?

If I leave my MIFI on in the truck when I get back from the field, and the regular cable/WIFI goes down, my computer will connect to the MIFI automatically, but wont go back to WIFI until I change it manually. That really eats up the data plan...

Only time I wentover is when my laptop connects and updated windows. We run 4 GPS units on mifi's and have a 4GB plan. I've changed all my settings to manual updates and don't come anywhere close to the 4GB limit.

I import dwg files for just about every job...but only in the rover.

I called Verizon...what a joke. Spent an hour to get to someone who fumbled to tell me how to use their website. They tell me I need “advanced tech support”... I’ll have to try again later.

Can you explain how to see the base statistics again? Not sure I follow that. I’d like to compare today’s base session with my Verizon account.

Tap the wifi or cell icon from the homescreen. Then tap the lower right button labeled Stat. You can tap reset and start fresh to see the transmitted and recieved data.

There isn't currently anyway to look back on the LS. Tim can you set up your base and rover early in the morning for a few hours. Clear the stat's on both after starting the base. Can you leave them on a porch where they can have some sky and still be safe and have access to power? @Eugene Aksyonov may be able to look into it some more. Also, please try to get the info on data usage for the jetpacks. You should be able to look on the jetpack screen and find the usage.
