LS Handle

A couple of folks have complained to me, that there was no handle for the LS.
So, I have come up with this:
LS handle-s.jpg
top to Bottom, we have a plastic washer, then the Javad 1/4" to 5/8" adapter. Then, 2.5" billet (Blue), then the following adapter:

Then, my old Hixon Prism pole.
I don't do well without a Bipod, holding my Rover up... It's related to a tick bite.... but I am doing better. 20 minutes at a time won't work yet. I tried it for 3-4 minuits the other day, and did ok. I can drive a small nail in the top of a post, and set this up, without holding it, to shoot a wood fence post. (Hands free).
I'm looking foreward to getting a backpack, and j-pod.
I have ambition to be a one man, walking surveying machine!
:)
And, I got some very cool stickers from Adam Plumley's wife in the mail. Pics of what I do will be around soon.
This is some of the best surveying I have ever done.

Here is an interesting shot. I wanted to shoot the rebar, on the ground. But, post was in the way. I drove a 16d nail, with it's head cut off, (leatherman did that) and used a plumb bob to get it just right. Then, took the LS off the pole, and there is a small hole in the "handle" which I placed over the headless nail. It sat and shot it, while I did other things.
As you can see, by the tree, and shade, this is not a shot for just any GPS.

Thank you for looking,

Nate

Since you had a Leatherman that could cut the head off of a nail, could you just as easily have cut the strands of wire on the neighbors fence, and then leaned the post out of the way? Just kidding :) btw..

Nice shot!
