LS touchscreen failure

I used LS on VRS network setup and it seem that it disables the touchscreen randomly. 15+ reboots throughout the day. It doesn't lock up just disables touchscreen. I can navigate to reboot and reboot. It works for awhile and then touchscreen stops working again. Touchscreen will stop working even just sitting on the table. I change to my UHF setup and I haven't been able to get the touchscreen to stop working like it does on the VRS network setup.

I have to different profiles set up on the LS. One is for when I work using my UHF/base setup and the other is when I use the state RTN. I use my phone as a hotspot and switch over the profile created for RTN and that's when the screen on the LS becomes unresponsive to touch but the hardware buttons still function the LS. Using the hardware buttons I reboot the LS and it works for x amount of time. Which isn't very long.

When cell service is poor the communications can lag behind when this happens the LS screen can quit working. It's not a hardware issue with the screen. Poor internet/cell service causes problems. The reason I think this is what is going on is because you said UHF works fine. You can try deleting the profile for RTN and recreate it.

Is this not a touchscreen calibration issue? I never would have guessed the cell service could cause this.

Also, this reminds me of something that's not strictly helpful to this question, but a tip others might find useful for future reference. Sometimes when I think my touchscreen has locked up, and I can still navigate with the rubber buttons, I'll find that there is a drop of water or some damp debris along the margin of the screen that - I suppose - makes the screen think someone is holding a finger down on it, cancelling out any other input. I wipe it off or blow it off and it's back to working. So I guess just keep that in mind too.

Great point about the drop of water or debris. I am thinking it's not that because he said I works with no problem on uhf.

Yeah the screen is clean as a whistle. I deleted the RTN profile and created a new one and so far I cant get it to disable the touchscreen while I'm sitting at the table. I'll give try soon and see how it does over a days of work.
Also when I switch profile to the RTN or any other profile from the old UHF profile the screen brightness changes brighter.
