Micro SD card in the T1M

Matt,
I did all of the above, still no luck. After doing the "Init File System" and it still didn't recognize it I put the sd card back in my computer and as soon as I inserted it it said "disk must be formatted before using" .
I've tried formatting it in all the options and copied just random files off my puter onto the sd card each time and opened those files from the card so it is reading/writing files.

However, my 1M does switch to a different source SOMEWHERE when I switch from int to ext.
I had 6 files stored on internal memory (which it didn't delete when I Init File System like it said it would), then I switched to ext and there were zero files - still 256mb total memory in both locations.
Where is the external memory if not to the micro sd card?

I found out that the storage is limited to the option that was ordered when the receiver was purchased. 256 MB is the default, this is regardless rather the internal or external memory is used. Also the formatting of the SD card that is used is not compatible with Windows. Files would need to be transferred through NetView.

Thanks for the info Matt. Will just have to make it a better habit of deleting them off the 1M. Easy to do now connecting through the LS and once they're downloaded on the LS they're no longer needed in the 1m anyway.
There was an option to check on (only on this newer versions I think) NetView that said something like "allow oldest file removal". I'm thinking maybe that allows my file I'm collecting to store and removes the oldest if/when it gets full? As of now, there's no warning if it's almost full and you start a session. When you stop base at the end of the day and download it will just flash quickly and be done - no file has been collected to download. Of course, worst cast there is I go in through the LS, delete one or more files, then start the base back up for 15 minutes or so and get a base file before I leave.

So I can't even use the micro sd card slot at all? That's kinda nuts. Anyway to upgrade the storage capacity after the original purchase? We didn't need extra storage when we were storing 30 second epoch files but now with 1 sec epochs our files are 30x bigger. We should be able to adjust from that - somehow.

You can use either the SD card or the internal memory up to the limit of the storage that you purchased with the 1M - but you can only use one or the other. Some post processing software will create base data to correspond to the data rate of the rover. I run my IM at 1hz and can get 2 or 3 days of data (10 hour days). I download every
night so I do the delete the oldest file manually. If i want to run at a higher data rate I log to an external computer through NetView. Not as convenient as I would like especially since a 64Gb SD card is less than $30.

You can upgrade your internal memory by purchasing an option and getting a new OAF file.

I successfully installed a new OAF this morning in my T1M and it now has 4gb of storage.
Thanks team!

Adam just told me about this FREE upgrade today. By the way, he called to personally tell me that I could upgrade my unit and told me how to do it! Super impressed with the service I've gotten from day 1.

Really cool that Javad takes care of customers like this. A big thanks to the Javad team!

Guys I made an assumption when Darren posted earlier that he just updated the oaf and it was at 4GB. We talked about this at our meeting. I am sorry I need verify that is the case.

Oops. Sorry Adam, might have gotten ahead of you there...

No problem Wes, I think that's the case but haven't confirmed it with Michael. It could be that Darren paid for it but I doubt it. Try to update your OAF and see what happens.

OK. I'll try on Monday when I get back in the office.
