You need to complete step 5:

View attachment 7694

Also insert the SD card back into the LS before doing this.

RE: JField 2.1.0.57
I keep reading the instructions on the LS screen, but still don't see anything mentioning SD card. At which point in the above instructions displayed on the LS is the user instructed to remove the SD card?

Typos:
Third sentence, first word, Beware (not Be ware).
5(Linux OS). First word, Once (not Ones).

RE: JField 2.1.0.58
Still uncertain about Matt's remark concerning the reinsertion of the SD card and how/ where it relates to the instructions on the LS.

Thanks John for clearing that up. Other than your specific problem, is it necessary to remove the SD card prior to Migration procedures?

I am trying to make the switch and am having trouble. I get to the archiving stage of the migration (over 70% archived) and then I get an error screen: "System error. Restart the device?" Help?
I think it is project specific issue. We need to have your projects to check this. If you can, make Full backup and put it to some cloud drives, so we can take it and investigate.

Also, due to different quality on USB drives that people use it may not recover settings, Tags & Codes and some other data. The latest update eliminates this potential issue and will be uploaded to web very soon. (version 3.0.0.188)

I assume that if “Restore Data” did not work correctly the first time, users can update to 3.0.0.188 and try “Restore Data” again?

Joe;
What are you archiving to? From some of the posts here it seems to make a difference. When I did my migration I bought a brand new USB stick 64 gig, (overkill but I wanted one anyway) made sure it was Fat32, no partitions. Did you do a reboot after the restoration? There should have been a prompt.

I just followed the directions, put a newly formatted 32gig usb stick in and away it went. It does the archiving by itself, it's not anything that I'm doing manually. Maybe it's my usb stick, it isn't new.

Hats off to Eugene and the entire crew. The migration process took about three hours. Still have tests to run in the field, but this procedure went smoothly. Many thanks.

I’m glad it went smooth for you. The bandwidth of your internet connection must be fairly limited if it took that long. I think it usually took about 20 minutes the times I’ve done it.
